About Beto's Pizza

Beto's Pizza is a pizza restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1473 Banksville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15216, which places it among the local businesses of Pittsburgh that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 AM–11 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Beto's Pizza at (412) 561-0121; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, betosoriginalpizza.com.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 3,252 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Thank you for introducing me to what I am pretty sure is now my favorite pizza! We are visiting Pittsburgh and wanted to have a meal unique to the area; Beto's was a perfect choice! This unpretentious little restaurant was full of locals who clearly love Ohio Valley-style pizza. I now understand why they feel the way they do because it is absolutely delicious. We ordered four "cuts," (no slices here!) two with mushroom and two with anchovies. They were phenomenal, and that may be an understatement. The crust was cooked perfectly; crispy and airy. The sauce was sweet, with chunks of fresh tomatoes. The cheese was abundant and, no, it is unmelted on purpose. But, unusual as it is, it works! Lastly, the toppings we chose resulted in a perfect mix of sweet and salty. I can safely say that we will be returning here the next time we visit Pittsburgh; it was fantastic!! Beto's, keep shining because you are a star!

Beto's Pizza is a must-try if you're in the Pittsburgh area. Their unique style of pizza, with fresh toppings added after the crust comes out of the oven, is unlike anything else and absolutely delicious. The menu also includes salads, sandwiches, and appetizers, giving everyone plenty of options. Service is friendly and efficient, and the casual atmosphere makes it a great place to grab a meal. Prices are fair for the portions, and the quality keeps me coming back. Overall, it's one of my favorite pizza spots and well worth the visit.

We went at opening time on a Saturday where we joined almost a dozen other people in line at the door. The door was unlocked without the employee saying anything to the waiting crowd and we entered and joined a queue to order. There were no signs with menu items by the register, although there was a TV in the other room with a portion of the menu and there were print out menus on the counter. We grabbed a menu and decided to split a 6 cut pepperoni and cheese between ourselves and I noticed the fountain drink machine and got us some fountain drinks. The pizza was ready in maybe fine minutes which I thought was pretty fast and we brought that back to the table and filled our drinks. I'm assuming there were plates available at the pickup counter, however there were none by the tables, despite there being an area with napkins and silverware, do initially we thought you were supposed to eat over the box or with paper towels, only realizing most of the way through that other customers had plates. Maybe they were given plates, maybe they knew better, I'll take that as half our fault. The pizza is, as I was aware served with toppings cold. The crust was things and crunchy. The sa

Okay this was the strangest pizza I've ever had in my life. The pizza looks very weird and it's just not doable for myself to eat it. So with that being said enjoy. The pizza style is the Ohio valley style which means that the crust and the sauce is cooked but all the toppings are cold from cheese to vegetables even meats. No thank you I did not eat that. What I did get is an individual meatball that was smothered in a sweet marinara sauce and shredded with cheese, the Italian sub hoagie, the onion rings were so crispy and tasty. I will go with everything else but that pizza. Also side note there was the Oscar Meyer Weiner vehicle driving down the road when we were going to this pizza joint

This was our first time having Beto’s even though we have both lived in Pittsburgh our entire lives (thank you pizza passport!). We had no idea what to expect from cold cheese on a pizza but knew that we’d either love it or hate it. Turns out, we LOVED it! Only $2 a slice to walk in and it was ready so fast!! The seating area could use some more frequent cleaning, but the service was lightning quick. We will definitely be back here. This is definitely one of our top places that we have been to with the passport so far.
